If it is wintertime, then it is ice skating time. Everyone knows about the Budapest Ice Rink, but it is also possible to skate outside the Hungarian capital. In our current article, we will show you some rinks from all corners of the country that you can visit either alone or with family and friends.

Szombathely Ice Rink

It first opened in 1987. Since then, roughly 25,000 guests have come to the rink each year. The 30-metre-wide, 60-metre-long rink is open, so you can arrive from mid-November till the end of February in good weather. The cloakroom and changing room are free, and there is the possibility of ice skate rental as well. Anyone hungry or thirsty will find everything in the buffet. Periodically, programs await those interested, such as family days, ice carnivals or figure skating competitions.

Kecskemét Ice Rink

The Kecskemét Ice Rink, which has been open since 2013, is becoming increasingly popular.

Christmas lights and a Christmas tree make the atmosphere perfect. It is possible to rent skates or sharpen your own skates. In addition, there is music on the weekends.

  1. Wonderful for the Family.
Generations of Hungarians – in the DNA of millions of Hungarians – the joyous way with Family and Friends to share quality time to-gether.
Time moves on and remembering as Parents – when the children, in there “growing/formulative” years and there children – the Grand-children learning to skate does bring a tear to your eyes.
Skating as a Family and snow sledging as a Family – the relatively inexpensive – by to-days cost of living – a marvellous and quality way of Family Bonding.
In the gloaming years of life, born in a country that is renowned for its Golden Sands of Beaches – it was 37 degrees in the place of my birth on Christmas Day – the joy it brings us as citizens of this wondeful country, just watching Families to-gether in skating or snow sledging and people – the friendship of people – participating in this Social Activity – that plays an important part in our Lives.
